Österreichischer bibliothekartag 2015

Our sister Company Schulz Speyer was represented at the Österreichischer Bibliothekartag in Vienna, Austria – 15th-18th September

The themes of Austrian Librarian Exhibition Day 2015 were „Offen(siv)e[offene=opened] Libraries: New accesses, new structures, new chances".

It was hosted by the union of Austrian Librarians(VÖB), Bookassociation of Austria (BVÖ) and the Libraries of University of Vienna, technical University Vienna and Veterinary Medical University. One of the reasons of this intense cooperation was not least the anniversaries of each University Library which are now all together 1100 years. Technical University of Vienna exists already 200 years, Veterenary Medical University celebrated 250th and University of Vienna the 600th jubilee.

The Congress was aimed at members of the scientific and public libraries, to students of library and information management as well as information experts from the public and the private sector.

The highlight at our stand was the new Eurobib Direct catalogue, which is valid from October 1, 2015.

The catalogue was presented at ShowlTall and all the pages of the new catalogue were shown on a screen in a slideshow.

Another highlight was the display of reference images on a large screen of all libraries made by Schulz Speyer and Lammhults Biblioteksdesign.

Furthermore, we presented the mobile UNIFLEX shelving system with lots of accessories (AV media storage, magazine storage etc.)

As seating LAXXER and LÜMMEL were demonstrated, which found great respond among visitors.

With the QUERLÄUFER, INFORM Opac (which was upgraded in cooperation with our partner company to a SelfCheck station), as well as swivel and lounge chair, we were able to create a versatile attention.
