Room for everyone

When Thurø library moved into new premises on Thurø School, it was the first library in the municipality of Svendborg to serve both as school library and public library. The library serves users of all ages who have access to materials of the school library as well as the collection of books, films, magazines, games and much more of Svendborg library.

In connection with the opening of the new library, opening hours are extended with the introduction of open, unmanned library which the library users benefit from. The interior design provides great opportunities for both students and local citizens to use the library as both work spaces and as a second home and they will get inspired by displays and changing exhibitions throughout the library.
