More space and better overview
The renovated library of Wateringen has enabled more space and better overview along with the possibility to welcome various groups without them disturbing each other.
In addition, study places have been created and a so-called "library lab", where children can explore and discover. The library wanted to combine areas with picture books and board games which was challenging at first, but seems to work out perfectly after the visitors have gotten used to it.
Project leader John van der Linden has recieved positive feedback from visitors: “People think the library has become lighter, tidier and therefore more orderly. A pleasant and friendly environment with a completely renovated interior, where people can stay for a longer period of time to search the collection, study, read, meet and discover.”
