Seljord Public Library, Norway

After 20 years of waiting, the official opening of the new library in Seljord took place in January 2018. The library is placed in a new extension to the existing Granvin cultural house that also houses a cinema and gym. The building is designed so that it looks like an open book, and this is also expressed both inside and outside.

Glulam construction, many windows, high ceilings and 430 sqm give a light and airy impression. All library furniture is brand new. Double-sided shelving is with castors and contributes to the flexible use of the premises.
