Vibrant new library in Bornem

Mid November 2017 the new Bornem library opened its doors to the general public. After several years of being enclosed in a building under renovation, the library now reopens in an oasis of light and space on a site where culture, sport and relaxation are central.

The design of this project was made by Morgen Architectuur, architecture for landscape and building (www.morgenarchitectuur.be) and involves the library, music and art academy, cultural café and meeting rooms.

The design enables the library to fulfill its functions of reading, learning, meeting, borrowing and creation. There is pleasant seating furniture, a studio to study, a box to chat in, adjusted children's furniture, a self-loan tailored to the visitors, a service point where you can go with your questions, etc. Definitely worth a visit.
