Flexible and spacious library in newly renovated premises
The library in Ullensaker Municipality is located in the town of Jessheim. On 5th January 2023, it was officially reopened after extensive renovation, where all the furniture and shelving systems have been renewed and coloured in shades that harmonize with the basic elements of the recycled premises.
Flexibility, light, and spaciousness are keywords for the new layout. The double shelving systems on the floor are equipped with castors, allowing the space to be used in multiple ways, such as for events. The height of the shelving systems is 152 cm, contributing to a more open library that provides better overview and more light.
On the ground floor, there are several departments color-coded for easier navigation. The counter and event area have been relocated further into the premises, and on the mezzanine, modern workstations and study areas have been established.
