Kiruna Public Library, Sweden

During the previous relocation of Kiruna Public Library in 2012, Lammhults Biblioteksdesign secured the contract and supplied the furnishings.

Carina Bergsten, the library director in Kiruna, explains, "Over the years, we've been highly content with the furnishings obtained during the 2012 relocation. When the need arose to relocate once more to Kiruna's new center, our strategy was to retain as much of the existing furnishings as possible. This decision stemmed not only from sustainability, economic, and environmental considerations but also because the furnishings remained in excellent condition. We then complemented them with additional furniture, considering the layout of the new premises. Nonetheless, as mentioned, retaining the majority of the furnishings has been deeply satisfying."
